Outdoor screens have to survive monsoon rain, dust, direct sun and Nepal’s voltage swings, so they are built differently from indoor screens. Below are our current prices for complete Lampro outdoor displays (panels, weatherproof cabinets, power supplies and controller), how to choose the pitch, and what else to budget for.

Prices are in NPR excluding 13% VAT, from our outdoor LED shop. P6 is the most popular billboard pitch in Nepal because it gives the best price per square foot. P4 costs about 15–19% more and stays sharp for viewers closer than 6 m.

How to choose the pitch for an outdoor board

  • P4: people walk past within 4–8 m (shop fronts, school gates, building entrances).
  • P5: a balance for facades seen from across the street.
  • P6: roadside billboards, municipal notice boards and highway junctions seen from 10 m or more.

A useful rule: the closest comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly the pitch number. Below that, viewers start to see individual LEDs.

What makes an outdoor screen different

  • Brightness: 5,000+ nits so the picture is readable in direct sun. It dims automatically at night to save power and avoid glare.
  • IP65 weather sealing on the front and back of the cabinets for monsoon rain and dust.
  • Wide temperature range for Terai summers and hill-town winters.
  • Remote content control: each board ships with a Novastar player, so you update ads from a phone over 4G or Wi-Fi. See which controller fits which size.

Budget beyond the screen

Power & protectionDedicated line, MCB/surge protection and, if needed, a stabiliser.
PermitsAdvertising boards usually need permission from the municipality or ward. Check local rules before you order.
13% VATAdded to the screen and services on the final invoice.

Running cost: how much electricity?

Outdoor LED boards use most power at full white brightness in daylight. Average use is much lower because content is mixed and brightness drops at night. When we size your board we give you the maximum and average power figures for the exact model, so you can plan the electricity bill and backup.

Which pixel pitch is best for an outdoor billboard in Nepal?

In most municipalities, advertising boards facing a public road need approval from the municipality or ward office. Check with your local office before ordering; we can share technical drawings for the application.
